What training recreational diving choose? French or American training?
In fact you choose an American training such as the PADI SSI SDI training or a French training, you will learn the same thing to start the dive.
You just have to know that most divers remain convinced that the American formations make it possible to travel abroad better, while the French formations are also recognized internationally! For information, an essential difference is that American curricula restrict recreational diving to dives without compulsory decompression levels, but give you the opportunity to be autonomous, while training French accept a slightly higher level of risk and allow the dives with bearings, always framed by a guide.
To start diving, PADI SDI SSI or Ffessm Anmp training?
I recommend more either the French courses level 1 of the French diving school ANMP which are established exclusively by professionals, or the training open water SDI because it trains you from the start to the use of the dive computer, and goes far beyond the PADI training to more expensive supplies.
To progress in diving
It is up to you to choose the following depending on your appetite for a rather safe or rather sporty practice... The American PADI training, SSI, SDI still evolves in areas of depth of 30 to 40 meters with short dive times at the bottom so as not to enter the limits imposing compulsory decompression levels, while the French formations deep dives with mandatory decompression. To access deep decompression dives with more security, it will be necessary to evolve to the Tek dive.
To advance in technical and in-depth, the TEK dive training
Here also in Tek diving, the French and American formations mingle. The most recognized trainings emanate from TDI, the world's first Tek diving Agency, but your Aquadomia instructor can certify you on the different courses!
