TAMAYA Mission in Trimix Internship:
A three steel mats resembling the Tamaya
Take part in this "mission TAMAYA" to re-discover the wreck of the magnificent three mats the TAMAYA sunk on May 8, 1902 during the terrible eruption of the Pelee mountain that ravaged St. Peter in a few tens of seconds. Reserved for divers following the advanced trimix formation, this wreck of a superb metal-hulled sailboat built in 1862 and discovered in 1984 rests from 78 to 90 meters deep.
This 49-metre long sailboat unwittingly saved his brother the Belem from the catastrophe by taking his place. This wreck which we will bring back images during our mission Tamaya is fantastic: During the approach, we distinguish the three masts lying on the side and one sees the top of a deep abyssal fall. Thrills and emotions guaranteed!
